Job Description
Job Function 
As a member of the Engineering Compute Technologies Hardware Engineering Architecture team, you will be responsible for leading efforts to improve the integration of Electronic Design Automation tools within a Grid computing environment. You will work closely with the Hardware Engineering design community, vendors, and peers as a subject matter expert. You are energized by change, enjoy adopting new technologies, and keen to solve problems within a collaborative environment.

Skills/Experience 
Expert in Unix Systems Programming
Expert user of UNIX and UNIX utilities
Expert knowledge scripting with PERL, BASH, CSH, and SH
Strong Perl Programming experience
Experience working with Platform LSF, Sun's Grid Engine, or similar DRM technologies
Knowledge of ASIC design flows with hands-on experience using EDA tools
Good communicator with superb verbal, written, and presentation skills
Must have good inter-personal skills, and be able to mentor & motivate team members
Excellent customer support skills

Additional Skills:
Programming C or C++ on Unix
Working knowledge of the Linux Kernel
Hands-on experience doing ASIC design work
Good knowledge of ASIC design flow from synthesis to GDSI
Experience with FlexLM license management

Responsibilities 
Education Requirements 
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience
