Job Description

Job Responsibilities:
 
The candidate should possess significant knowledge of Design Safety engineering for offshore oil and gas platforms.
Experience should include safety design of fire water systems, development of safety philosophies, preparation of data sheets for firefighting equipments and safety equipments, preparation of fire and gas detection layouts and fire and gas cause, development of Hazardous area classification drawings / schedules, preparation of fire and gas detection layouts and knowledge in performing Hydraulic calculations. and effects. 
Candidate should also have experience in risk management and coordination of Safety / HSE studies like Quantitative risk assessments, HAZID, Fire and explosion analysis, dropped object studies etc., for the offshore platforms. 
Knowledge of international codes and standards and software like PIPENET, PHAST is required.
 
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience:
Should have minimum of 12 to 15 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in the area of Design Safety / Loss prevention (design), out which he should have a minimum of 5 years experience as  Lead Safety engineer in the area of design safety for offshore platforms.
