Job Description

Job Function 

As a member of the Engineering Compute Technologies Hardware Engineering Architecture team, you will be responsible for leading efforts to document and benchmark the current environment and future configurations. You will work closely with both the Engineering Compute Technologies team and the Hardware Engineering community to solicit, document and update test cases for various EDA functions and teams. Using these test cases to benchmark and provide high level validation of how changes in the environment affect the tools and flows. You will work closely with the Hardware Engineering design community, vendors, and peers as a subject matter expert. You are energized by change, enjoy evaluating new technologies, keeping standards up to date, and keen to solve problems within a collaborative environment. 

Skills/Experience 
Unix Systems Programming
Knowledge of UNIX and UNIX utilities
Knowledge scripting with PERL, BASH, CSH, and SH
Strong Perl Programming experience

Additional Skills:
Programming C or C++ on Unix
Working knowledge of the Linux Kernel
Familiar with various X86 Hardware platforms and tuning
Familiarity with EDA tools and CAD methodologies

Working knowledge of HW and networking configuration to support Linux
Experience working with Platform LSF, Sun's Grid Engine, or similar DRM technologies
Good communicator with superb verbal, written, and presentation skills
Must have good inter-personal skills, and be able to mentor & motivate team members
Excellent customer support skills

Responsibilities 

Education Requirements 
Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science or equivalent experience
