Job Description

The Software and Service Engineering (SSE) group at IBM Research - India is seeking applications for full-time Research positions at its Bangalore facility. The group's mission is to develop tools, methods and analytics to help IBM's large application services business standardize and optimize operations, adopt innovative models for global delivery, leverage predictive capabilities for planning and estimation, and increase service delivery productivity. Researchers with experience in one or more of the following topics are encouraged to apply:
 
Globally distributed software development
Empirical software engineering
Risk analysis and management
Planning and scheduling
Metrics and estimation
Service-oriented computing.
 
We also seek applications from researchers with a background in multi-disciplinary research relevant to software and service engineering - for example, applications of statistics, machine learning, operations research, stochastic processes and economics to software engineering, delivery and governance

Desired Skills & Experience

The applicant should have a PHD \ Doctoral degree in a relevant area from a reputed university, and should have demonstrated capability for high quality research, as evidenced from publications in top scientific journals and conference proceedings.
