What you will do
· Interact with customers and technology leadership and contribute to development of the technology strategy for the business, team and Walmart Global tech
· Understand business objectives and customer needs, and provide guidance to technical teams to align and deliver in line with business strategies and plans
· Develop the strategy, objectives for the team and provide operational leadership translating them to processes, requirements, projects, and metrics
· Lead a team to deliver these objectives through execution of programs and projects
· Build a high performing team, and be a sponsor for their development
What you will bring
The responsibilities include:
• Influence, coach, and be a servant leader to multiple teams ensuring efficient payroll delivery across Walmart US & Canada
• Drive the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; develop and communicate business plans and priorities
• Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives
• Partner with business and product stakeholders to solve challenging business problems and identify trends and opportunities
• Define and evaluate key performance metrics for major initiatives
• Collaborating with architecture, engineering, portfolio, and product teams to gather and process information from various sources
• Work effectively cross-functionally and communicating data and insights to leadership team
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment
Position Requirements:
· The candidate must possess the following qualifications:
· Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, an MBA or Master of Science/Tech is added advantage
· 20+ years working on and managing SAP Payroll with at least 4-5 years in US SAP Payroll
· At least 5 years of experience managing a talented SAP Payroll organization (preferred someone who has experience managing distributed teams).
· Experience in driving large scale transformation and product implementations.
· Ability to deal with ambiguity and partner with senior leadership to drive vision.
· Ability to operate independently while earning trust of the stakeholders and operate with agility and speed.
