Brand Manager-PCO/IWS - Castrol India - Mumbai
Job Description
The India business is the largest market within the Asia & Pacific region. Further, the India Automotive business is also the most material business within Castrol India Limited (CIL).
Car Sales in India is growing exponentially and as the space grows there is a booming demand for car service especially in professionally managed workshops even outside Franchise workshop networks. Castrol has pioneered the movement in terms of IWS network appointment under Castrol Pitstop and Castrol Car Care offers. PCO Independent Workshops has been identified as a core RTM strategy in India in our WILG strategy and is poised to be a significant business contributor to Volume and GM with a Volume plan of 5MNL & GM of $9.3Mn by 2015.
Purpose
The Brand Manager PCO IWS will lead the agenda of understanding the dynamics of the independent workshop channel, anticipating the changes and developing winning marketing offers to maintain Castrol’s leadership status in the channel. The person will deliver the objectives of positioning Castrol’s IWS channel as the #1 preferred IWS network amongst consumer’s as well as IWS partner’s. The Brand Manager would have the objective of driving premium brands sales and gain market share for the PCO space, via insight led, class leading consumer & customer marketing programs. By owning the point of purchase as well as consumption in this channel , the person would need to leverage the channel to build consumer connect with the brand Castrol.
Reporting
The position reports to the PCO Market Space Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
The Brand Manager PCO IWS shall have the responsibility towards performing all tasks related to:
• Develop the short ,medium and long term marketing and strategic plan for the channel with the help of market space manager
• Monitoring effectiveness of marketing offers and course correction or aligning to changing customer needs.
• Development of CRM initiative to keep high retention and brand loyalty amongst IWS partner’s thus building up a strong competitive entry barrier.
• Development and Execution of programs for driving traffic to the channel
• Implementation and development the Workshop Management Software in the channel for driving CRM initiatives.
• Enhancement of profitability by planning, developing and implementing superior brand offers which will drive premium products in the channel
• Monitoring sales performance and take actions for aligning performance to meet company objectives
• New solutions (products and services) introduction and launch for competitive advantage
• Competitive analysis and market development.
• Understanding trends in the Independent workshop business and identifying areas of Development & execution of the complete marketing plan for the PCO IWS channel
• Ensure effective tracking, measurement and usage of all spends in this channel. The incumbent will be responsible for devising programs, budgeting spends, monitoring spends and utilization as well as be responsible for the ROI delivery of the same.
Desired Skills & Experience
Education/ Experience:
• Graduate , preferably with MBA
Language:
Fluency in English
• Minimum 3-4 years of sales and/or marketing experience
• One of the following is a pre-requisite :
• Experience in Castrol workshop business stream : sales or marketing
• Experience in workshop business/similar market environment (B2B) cross industry

• Sector & Segment Understanding: Is recognized as the expert in the sector and should understand the dynamics of the workshop business and specifically the servicing business. • Customer Insights: Should be able to ferret out strong customer insights and leverage these into innovative marketing programs. Shapes the customer‘s business plan. Builds alignment with the customer around business plan priorities and direction. Should have strong understanding of market research and should be able to commission research as per the requirement and adopt its finding in the marketing plan
• Influencing skills : Ability to powerfully persuade all stakeholders, align & motivate team to work on common objectives
