Director Of Public Policy India Platform Monetization & Trade Facebook Gurgaon

We are looking for a public policy leader, passionate about Facebook and the platform’s ability to empower the small and medium business community in India. S/He is an experienced industry leader and strategic thinker with a deep knowledge of India’s evolving digital industry with added exposure to cross border trade issues. S/He should be well versed with India’s political economy including monetization goals of platforms and related regulatory issues and have a deep interest in technology and related policy solutions.
As part of the India Public Policy team, you will report to the Director and Head of Public Policy, India. In this role, you will partner closely with other India-based teams including sales, marketing and partnerships as well as with the global public policy team dealing with challenges of driving a seamless digital trade eco-system. You should also have an interest and willingness to travel. This position is based in our Gurgaon office.

Responsibilities Operate as a key member of the India Public Policy Leadership Team with deep understanding of monetization strategy of Facebook in India. Lead on developing company positions & advocating the same with all internal and external stakeholders including policy makers and regulators. Work closely with internal cross functional partners across multiple teams to ensure effective collaboration and realization of key strategic outcomes. Work with public policy leaders in India and globally to contribute to critical policy issues relating to international trade and commerce. Provide strategic inputs and directions on new products which can create greater monetization opportunities for Facebook in India. Communicating Facebook's positions on key policy issues in public presentations to a wide range of audiences both internally and externally. Minimum Qualifications 15+ years of experience in public policy Experience in platform monetization and regulatory engagement Experience in policy engagement and dealing with complex policy situations for a multinational corporation or civil society institution Ability to translate policy solutions towards the larger objective of driving business objectives and contribute through strategic planning with cross functional teams A cross-functional team player with the ability to drive and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications Understanding of trade and cross border issues relating to technology platforms, communication and persuasive skills as well as an ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment Considerable experience in public policy, MBA or law degree preferred
